Speaker Bio
Melanie Kahl is a learning and design strategist with The Third Teacher+ team at Cannon Design. A wearer of many hats, she acts as a communication architect, experience designer, and organizational and policy specialist. Melanie is particularly interested in the ways in which the design of learning programs and places can act as a catalyst for community development. Previously, Melanie was the K-12 education knowledge manager for Perkins+Will. With a degree in social policy and organizational strategy from Northwestern University, she has worked with education entrepreneurs in the Chicago Public Schools and the Jane Goodall Institute. Her writing has appeared in FastCo Design, American School & University, and The Creativity Post.
